Jason Momoa Shaves Beard For First Time In 7 Years: Read Twitter Reactions

Part of Jason Momoa's appeal is that long, untamed beard of his, but the actor's signature accessory is no more after he shared a video of him shaving it off on YouTube.

In efforts of promoting recycling and showing just how bad plastic bottles are to the environment, the 39-year-old actor unveiled the viral clip, which has amassed almost 4 million views since being uploaded on Wednesday (April 17). It's been seven years since the Aquaman actor was beardless, but he made the big decision to shave because he wanted to "bring awareness that plastics are killing our planet."

"Goodbye DROGO, AQUAMAN, DECLAN, BABA! I’m SHAVING this beast off, It’s time to make a change. A change for the better...for my kids, your kids, the world," he wrote in the video description. "Let's make a positive change for the health of our planet," he continued. "Let’s clean up our oceans and our land. Join me on this journey. Let’s make a switch to INFINITELY RECYCLABLE aluminum. Water in cans, NOT plastic."

Needless to say, the move saw plenty of traction on Twitter, which means that his goal did indeed work. He raised awareness that plastics are killing the planet by sacrificing his beard. Scroll on below to see some of the best reactions to the video!
