BTS Unveils Explosive Title Of Upcoming English Language Single

BTS is aiming for some crossover success with their upcoming single, which will be sung entirely in English.

On Sunday (August 2), the K-Pop group announced that the upbeat track, which is due August 21, is titled "Dynamite." “We also needed a breakthrough during these unforeseen times, so we worked on this new song," the band told fans during a livestream. "This is a new challenge for us as well. When we first heard and recorded the song, we were energized and our spirits were lifted up. We can't wait to share this song with you all and enjoy it together."

"Dynamite" follows the July release of their fourth Korean language album, Map of the Soul: 7 ~The Journey~. To commemorate the release, the band released a limited edition line of vinyls and cassettes featuring the track, which were available to pre-order in the U.S. Unsurprisingly, the merchandise has since sold-out.

Last month, BTS teased the upcoming single during a livestream session on Korean broadcasting app V Live, admitting that they wanted to share a piece of new music that would help the world remain positive amid the coronavirus pandemic. "We are preparing an album for the second half of this year, but decided to first release a single because we wanted to reach our fans as soon as possible," the group explained. "Due to COVID-19, people around the world have been going through tough times and we wanted to share some positive energy with our fans."
