Tanya Tucker To Debut 1st Starring Role In 'A Nashville Country Christmas'

Tanya Tucker is about to make her debut in her first starring role in a move.

The legendary award-winning artist appears in the upcoming holiday film, A Nashville Country Christmas, which is set to premiere on Monday, December 12 at 8 p.m. ET on Paramount Network.

A Nashville Country Christmas “follows a country music superstar who bolts from her outrageous lifestyle and hides at her grandmother's farm, where she finds romance when she reconnects with her handsome ex,” reads the movie’s description on IMDb. Directed by Ashley Williams and written by Alison Spuck McNeeley and Casie Tabanou, the cast also includes Kimberly WIlliams-Paisley, Ana Ortiz, Olivia Sanabia, and Keith Carradine, among others.

“It’s amazing that after 50 years in this business, I get to see my dreams become reality! And being part of A Nashville Country Christmas is definitely one of them,” Tucker said in a statement, per Billboard. “I’ve always wanted to do more acting, and it was a gift from the good Lord when this role came along. I can’t wait for everyone to enjoy the movie this season.”

Billboard also notes that fans can catch an encore presentation of the movie at 11 a.m. ET on CMT on Christmas Day (Sunday, December 25).
