6th Annual Taste of Pine Island

Come to Pine Island Thursday, Aug. 17th and enjoy the “Taste of Pine Island” – dinner and spirits of local businesses along with Music by Booker & Friend, Silent Auction and Raffle. The dinner will include chicken from Borgy Boyz, pulled pork sandwiches from Trailhead Gill and Island Market, coffee from Betty Sue’s Better Brew Café and beer and wine from PI Liquor along with dessert, corn on the cob and more!
Dinner tickets are $25 with kid’s meals available for $5.
In addition to the meal, music will be playing by “Booker & Friends” a local group playing some old favorites, new favorites and some original music.
A Silent Auction runs from 5-8 pm and features everything from a Lynx Scooter to a Sailboat Outing for 4. Raffle winners will be drawn for at 8:30 – prizes include: 1st prize $1000, 2-3 prize $500, and 4-7th $250.
Tickets are $20 with only 500 being sold.
This is the 6th year Pine Haven Care Center & Pine Island Area Home Services have collaborated on this exciting fundraiser. Proceeds from the event benefit both nonprofit organizations. Pine Haven Care Center provides short term rehabilitation and long term care for individuals requiring skilled nursing care. Pine Island Area Home Services enlists local volunteers and nursing staff to create a community of care and support for adults 65+ and their caregivers, which helps them remain safe and comfortable in their own homes.
