Keith Urban confirmed new details one day after posting a teaser that quickly garnered comments from eager fans. Urban shared a sneak peek of “Straight Line” on his social media channels on Wednesday (January 31), announcing it would make its debut on Friday (February 2).
Urban posted a snippet of “Straight Line” on Tuesday afternoon (January 30), simply writing in his caption, “hi !” He didn’t reveal any other details at that time, though its since garnered hundreds of comments from Instagram users expressing their excitement for new music from the powerhouse singer-songwriter. Urban’s latest full-length project was THE SPEED OF NOW Part 1, which released in September 2020. That 16-track project featured a few collaborations, including “Out The Cage” with Nile Rogers and Breland, “One Too Many” with P!nk and “We Were” with Eric Church. Urban has since released a few singles, including “Wild Hearts,” “Nightfalls,” “Brown Eyes Baby” and others. Most recently, he teamed up with fellow The Voice coach Rita Ora on “Shape Of Me,” and “asked if I could play guitar too.” It wasn’t clear as of publication time on Wednesday afternoon whether “Straight Line” would mark the beginning of a fresh chapter in Urban’s music.
