Remember when Carly Pearce surprised her audience with Kelsea Ballerini?

In October 2022, Carly Pearce took the stage to perform back-to-back headlining shows at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. The venue’s Instagram account shared a snippet of the performance on Wednesday (November 6), with the caption reading: “This performance lives rent free at the Ryman đŸ€ đŸŽ¶â€

Ballerini joined Pearce on stage to deliver a rendition of “Cowboy Take Me Away,” relased by The Chicks on the trio’s 14-track studio record, Fly in 1999. That project also included “Ready to Run,” “Goodbye Earl” and more. Pearce and Ballerini covered the late 90s ballad on the second of Pearce’s two headlining nights at the Ryman. Pearce said at the time that those were “the most special shows I’ve ever played.
My heart is so full ♄”

Other surprise guests who joined Pearce during her two-night headlining run include Brooks & Dunn’s Ronnie Dunn, Trisha Yearwood, Rascal Flatts frontman Gary LeVox, Bill Anderson and more. Pearce recently relived “one of my favorite memories ever,” when LeVox shared a video on Instagram of his performance of “What Hurts The Most” with Pearce.
