Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was surprised to learn he was nominated for an iHeartRadio Music Award for his viral cameo at girlfriend Taylor Swift's 'Eras Tour' in London this past summer
Travis' brother, former Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro center Jason Kelce, revealed that he was nominated for 'Favorite Surprise Guest,' a new award for 2025, during the latest episode of their New Heights podcast released on Wednesday (January 29).
"What? I'm up for an award?" Travis asked while smiling. "No way!"
Jason then revealed that Travis was actually nominated for the same award twice, having also been brought out by country singer Morgan Wallen alongside teammate Patrick Mahomes.
"Oh nice, I got two?" Travis asked.
Other nominees for the award include Charli XCX bringing out Lorde; Coldplay bringing out Selena Gomez, Future & Metro Boomin bringing out Travis Scott; Megan Thee Stallion, bringing out Cardi B; Jennifer Hudson bringing out Cher; Kendrick Lamar's Ken & Friends concert; Luke Combs bringing out the cast of Twisters; Niall Horan bringing out Shawn Mendes; Olivia Rodrigo bringing out Chappell Roan; and Peso Pluma bringing out Becky G.
Kelce famously revealed that he attempted to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number when he attended her concert at Arrowhead Stadium prior to their relationship in 2023. Swift later said that the three-time Super Bowl champion "very adorably put me on blast" when he acknowledged the situation on his podcast, which she said "was metal as hell" while being featured as Time Magazine's 'Person of the Year' in December 2023.
The Chiefs are set to appear in their seventh consecutive AFC Championship Game, having won back-to-back Super Bowls, including and three of the last five. Kansas City will face the NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles in a rematch of Super Bowl LVII, which took place two years prior.
