Vince Gill and Lainey Wilson took the stage together during the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday evening (September 14) at The Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California.

The two Grammy-winning artists delivered a duet rendition of Gill’s “Go Rest High On That Mountain,” which he originally released in the early 1990s. Gill marked the ballad’s 30th anniversary by releasing “the extended version with the third verse you’ve only been able to hear live,” on Friday (September 12). Wilson said on the same day that she was “so looking forward” to the performance with Gill. The tribute on Sunday honored late legends in the TV and entertainment industry, including John Amos, David Lynch, Quincy Jones, Ozzy Osbourne, Judith Jamison, Michelle Trachtenberg and many more.

Fellow country stars Reba McEntirewho confirmed her engagement to her boyfriend of five years, actor Rex Linn, on the red carpet — and Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman performed a nostalgic Golden Girls tribute during the show. Nashville, Tennessee-based comedian Nate Bargatze hosted the star-studded event. See the full list of 77th Primetime Emmy Award winners here.
