To recap last week's events, on Thursday's show Abby shared that she was sent a random text with a photo of a headshot of a firefighter posing in front of a fire engine from a phone number she didn't know. After Abby ignored the text thinking it was an accident, the person sent a follow up text stating he sent it to the wrong number. Abby playfully responded back with fire emojis and it led to them having a text conversation where the guy admitted the photo was meant for the fire chief, for the website. It was all a total accident that he texted her. Then Abby was brave enough to FaceTime the random texter on Friday's show, and she was able to confirm that he was indeed a real person and the same guy in the original photo. He sent her a photo showing the similarities between her phone number and his fire chief's phone number. They continued texting and she found out that he is single, has kids, and within her dating age.
On today's update (October 18), Abby revealed that she had some FaceTimes with the random texter over the weekend. They spent 20 minutes on FaceTime where she says she interrogated him, asking him to confirm some things for her. She specifically asked if he knew her from the show, but he said he did not and that he has only heard the show advertised, but never listened. He also got upset because he received DMs on Instagram stating that she was sharing personal things about him on the show, however she has never revealed any personal details about him. Abby asked him about the Instagram situation and her account being blocked from his, but he says he has no idea about that. He's never blocked anyone before. Another thing he confirmed with her is that he is not married and actively dating. The next day, they FaceTimed for 45 minutes from the fire station where he showed her around. During the show, Abby was protecting him from any of his information being shared and admitted that she believes him.
